Life is good. And it’s only going to get better.

As I sit here and write this the last week of the year I can hardly believe it is. The last week of the year I mean. I’m sure I say this every year, but how the hell did we get here so fast? What a year. Am I right? I remember this time last year having just been diagnosed with bc going out of my mind but trying to say, ‘Okay, it’s just one year of crap and then it will all be over. You can do this.’ Little did I know there was going to be a whole lot of ‘other’ crap thrown in there. And that’s the way many of us have looked at this year. Crappily. (Let’s see how many times I can say crap in one blog post…) A diagnosis, a virus, an election…yep, lot’s o’ crap. And I will admit, even though I REALLY try to live by the Law of Attraction and think positively and be happy as often as I can, it was hard at times. But, when I sit back and really think about this year, I can easily pick out the good things…

I met the most amazing people in my oncology nurses. They helped me through something intense and I am in awe of them. People I thought were only peripherally in my life have become some of the closest friends I have. My hubby is just the best dude. He and I decided life was short and bought an RV and are having a blast in it. We’ve gotten together with our usual ‘tribe’ on a regular basis and laughed until our sides hurt. The weather where I am has been spectacular this year (it’s 66 degrees out as I type…). I get to walk on a beach whenever I want. I LOVE what I do and LOVE working with the people and animals in my life. I could go on and on, but to make it short…

Life is good.

And it’s only going to get better. So, let’s take the word ‘crap’ out of our vocabulary shall we?

Here’s to a joyful, prosperous New Year absolutely filled with love and light and laughter…

ps. Six. Six times.
