Have you mentioned this to the cat?

If you follow me on FB or IG, you will have seen that the hubby and I adopted another dog this weekend. He’s a nine year old German Shorthaired Pointer named Blue. (Yes, some of you thought it was Buck and it was. However, being a Michigan football fan, you really can’t have a dog named Buck now can you? So we’re transitioning him to Blue…) Anyway, last week I had my good friend Kathy read my dog Gigi to see how she was feeling about a new member of the family. (I’m sure I’ve said this before, but as Animal Communicators, we sometimes can’t read our own animals. Sure, for the easy stuff like, ‘would you rather have tuna or salmon for dinner?’ we can. But sometimes for the bigger stuff, we ask a colleague.) Now Gigi was part of a pack with three dogs before, then two, now one since last summer when we had to say goodbye to our boy Gibbs. So, it’s been about a year of her living the high life all by herself here. Getting all the love, sleeping wherever she wants, basically owning the joint. So naturally, I felt she might be a bit anxious about it? Actually, I was thinking she might be a bit pissy. And I was feeling anxious about it.
I didn’t really tell Kathy anything about my thoughts around all this. When we read animals, we want as little information as possible going in. We want to make sure that information is coming from the animals and not something we’re throwing in there with our own heads. So Kathy connects with Gigi and kind of starts laughing. And the first thing she says is, “Geez! Relax! Tell her to chill!” I could tell Kathy was a bit concerned about how to say that to me. I guess she didn’t want me to get upset that my dog was pretty much dressing me down. And she asks, “Does this make sense to you? Are you anxious about this?” Um, yea. Bottom line, I was worrying about everything myself, and Gigi was totally chill.
Hi, I’m Geri and I’m a worrier. There I said it. And you all KNOW how much in to the Law of Attraction I am! And I KNOW that worrying about something is basically planning it. And I can USUALLY let it go and pivot, but for some reason, I couldn’t seem to when it came to this. What if Gigi was pissed? What if she took it out on him? What if she stopped loving me? I know?! Crazy, right?!
Long story short, I shifted by energy, the boy came home and fit right in, and he and Gigi are totally fine and sleeping at my feet as I write this. But Kathy did tell me one other thing that Gigi said,
“Have you mentioned this to the cat?”
I did. And she’s definitely a bit pissy about it.
